Our Next Big Event:
Growing Our Community
March 13, 2025
6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
at The Westport Library
in the Trefz Forum
A benefit event
to help sustain our employment program and grow our community
Since opening the Westport Book Shop in early 2021, we have provided over 8,750 hours of paid part-time employment and job training for more than a dozen adults and young adults with disabilities. Our employees are learning and exercising workplace skills that are transferable to other retail environments, and they have the opportunity for frequent everyday interaction with the community. In Fall 2023, we expanded our employment program to our online sales business, giving employees the opportunity to learn and enhance their computer and photography skills. Over this time, we have also provided more than $200,000 of support to The Westport Library.
Join us at the Westport Library on Thursday evening, March 13, 2025, and help us raise funds to ensure we continue to have a solid financial foundation, and to support the potential growth or our employment program.
We'll have live music, light bites & beverages, a paddle raise, and both a live and silent auction of a variety of unique books, vinyl, artworks, and experiences.
Tickets are available for purchase online at: https://westportbooksalemarch2025benefit.eventbrite.com
and may also be purchased at our Westport Book Shop.
Auction items include: two copies of The New Yorker in Westport by Eve Potts and Andrew Bentley — a signed copy of Rod Serling's first book, Patterns — a signed copy of Amor Towles' first novel, Rules of Civility — tickets and tours of nearby attractions — lenticular artworks created by Miggs Burroughs especially for our event — and much more! PLUS bid on the opportunity for you and three guests to have one hour of exclusive access to our next big Westport Library Book Sale Event the evening before the book sale!
